The Guru is made with apples , carrots, and beets. We source our ingredients locally and the final cold-pressed juice raw and unpasteurized. This also means that we do not use the HPP (high pressure pasteurization) method.
1 apple per bottle
Apples provide an array of benefits. They contain soluble and insoluble fiber. Both are important as they bind to toxins in the gut, and help escort them out of your body. Apples also contain B Complex Vitamins. These vitamins aid in maintaining red blood cells and promote a healthy nervous system. The fiber in apples also helps to maintain a healthy cholesterol level. Like many other fruits, apples contain a large amount of antioxidants. Antioxidants allow your body to prevent and fight disease. Most of the antioxidants and fiber are in the peel of the apple. That is why we leave the peel on during the juicing process, to keep all of the nutrients from these delicious apples! In the fall and winter we get to source 100% of our apples from Kiyokawa Orchards in Hood River, OR. Learn more about Kiyokawa Orchards on Our Farmers page.
4 carrots per bottle
Carrots provide a natural blast of high energy. Carrot juice in the morning will give you a competitive edge over coffee drinkers. Carrots are rich in calcium that is invaluable to bones and teeth. They are an excellent source of vitamin C, iron, potassium, phosphorus, and sodium. Carrot juice is considered the golden juice of healing, as it cleanses the liver. Because it is easy to digest, carrot juice causes the liver to release bile and excessive accumulated cholesterol. But that’s not all. They also alkalize the blood, soothing the entire nervous system and toning intestinal walls. With a very low glycemic index level, carrots do not cause blood sugar levels to raise very quickly. This alone contributes to all sorts of health benefits. Additionally, the beta-carotene present in carrot skin is a natural protector against melanoma.
1 beet per bottle
Beets are famous for their ability to cleanse the blood. They contain calcium, sulfur, iron, potassium, choline, beta-carotene, and vitamin C. Beets are also high in minerals that strengthen the liver and gall bladder. By increasing the efficiency of mitochondria, beets improve athletic performance. Beets are a great source of fiber and therefore promote digestive health. Beet greens are a good source of carotenoids that help prevent all types of cancers. They are also high in manganese, an important mineral for brain function. In the summer we get to source 100% of our beets from Fiddlehead Farms in Corbett, OR!
