What to Expect

The first question that almost anyone asks is whether they will be constantly hungry while on the juice cleanse. And the answer is: not as hungry as you would think!

Our juices contain a variety of fruits and veggies, and are surprisingly filling. When you drink a fresh-pressed raw juice and shower your body with nutrients and enzymes, it is nutritionally satisfying to your body. If you feed your cells with the nutrients it needs, your cravings for less healthy foods will disappear and your body will burn fat.

For example, one 16 oz. Guru is equivalent to eating one apple, one beet, and 5 carrots! We usually drink each juice over the course of an hour, and many people are surprised with the amount of energy they have while juice cleansing. We don’t bother with a specific calorie count, but each day of the cleanse is around 1,200 calories. So while it’s less than most of us are used to, it’s plenty of fuel to get you through the day.

Our Advice to You

Go easy on yourself.
Keep the body moving to activate the exocrine glands and help the body excrete toxins. Yoga, walking, or a light jog are all good options. Maybe this would be a nice opportunity to try out meditation, tai chi, or another restorative type of exercise.

Drink a lot of water!
This will help your body flush out all the nasty stuff you have inside and further the detoxification process. An 8oz glass of water between each juice is recommended to continue the feeling of fullness throughout the day.

Listen to your body.
If you need to rest, do so. If you need to eat some solid food, that’s ok! We’re human, after all. However, if your body is telling you that it needs solid food, we recommend being conscious of what decide to eat. We recommend grabbing a bag of our raw snacks if you need something solid while cleansing. They are raw and full of fiber meaning that they will fill you up without compromising the effects of your cleanse.

You know your body better than anyone. Below, we have provided you with instructions on how to consume your cleanse. Drinking the juices in this order is only a suggestion based on our experiences. But everyone is different! Feel free to drink the juices in any order you wish, or whichever feels right.
